Lesley formed Lewis & Coleman in 1992 with her best buddy and public sector colleague, Anne Lewis, who has now returned to the Victorian public sector.

Lesley’s career spans more than 30 years, including 10 years in the Victorian public sector and 20 years as an external consultant. 

She has consulted mainly in the areas of public policy development and evaluation, program evaluation, strategic and business planning, corporate governance, amalgamations of community organisations and management and organisation review. This has involved community or stakeholder consultation, the analysis of both quantitative and qualitative data and change management. Lesley is also highly experienced in workshop facilitation and training program design and in the use of video documentary as part of program evaluation.

Lesley is widely recognised for her ability to listen to the needs of her clients and identify innovative solutions that meet the requirements of diverse stakeholder interests. She provides practical, grounded advice and workable solutions to clients based on her extensive consulting and government background. The high quality of Lesley’s analytical and strategic work, together with her empathetic approach and excellent writing skills, has resulted in her building many strong, trusting and lasting client relationships.

Lesley is also a freelance actor who can be seen in guest roles in many Australian television programs and commercials. She is experienced in producing, writing and directing corporate videos as well as performing.

Since July 2011, Lesley has held the position of Adjunct Senior Research Fellow, working with Professor Tania Sourdin at the ACJI. Lesley’s role is to develop the evaluation capability of the centre and lead and participate in evaluations. She assists as required with advice on research projects and in preparation of submissions and bids.
